Believe it or not, there are quite a few people in the midst of adventures like ours.  We will be working on a better list of them in case you want to check them out, too.

A great place to start is Drive the Americas, which is a very helpful resource for us and a hub of other travelers’ websites.  (Our own profile on this site can be found here.)

And here’s another very comprehensive site and resource with websites and blogs of travelers motoring not just the Western Hemisphere but all over the world, OverlandSphere.

Some fellow travelers with whom we have been in contact and/or met:

James and Lauren from Florida

Anda from Washington

Zach and Jill from Massachusetts

Paula and Jeremy from the United Kingdom

Markus and Tania from Germany (yep, it’s in German)

Barry and Carol from Australia

Benjamin and Libby from Washington, D.C.

When not camping, we stay with people we’ve met through these organizations:

Help Exchange

Servas

Vacation Rentals By Owner

CouchSurfing

Here are some vineyards we have visited and like – A LOT

Black Hills Estate Winery (British Columbia, Canada)

Brutocao Cellars (Mendocino County, California)

Chateau DeFay (Guatemala)

Chateau St. Jean (Sonoma County, California

Parducci Winery (Mendocino County, California)

Rancho Sisquoc Winery (Santa Barbata County, California)

Wines of the San Juan (New Mexico)

You both are in my thoughts and prayers a lot. Am anxious to hear current news- saw Jan K and Robert today- gave Jan a brief update.
I played cello this weekend with the Legacy Chorale- a bit out of my comfort range, but I did it.
Please let us know if there is anything we can do—pick you up in our private lear jet and fly you to Minnesota via Tahiti, send down the entire Minnesota Orchestra for Joe to organize and conduct since most musicians are looking for gigs, send a case of Subway meatball sandwiches AND DQ turtle sundaes, knitting yarn, Erik?

    Happy Turkey Day
